Marina Craven, Controller
Marina, born in 1964 in Berlin, Germany, graduated in 1977 from the Benjamin-Franklin-Oberschule. After graduation, Marina worked as an intern at Pade Textiles and graduated with a Gross- und Aussenhandelskauffrau, or an associate degree in business administration and accounting from the OSZ Kreuzberg in Berlin. In 1984 Marina started to work for DeTeWe AG & Co., at the Berlin headquarters as a bookkeeper. While working for DeTeWe AG & Co., Marina went back to school to get her Bilanzbuchhalter License, or bachelor's degree in accounting in 1995 through IHK Berlin. Marina held positions as an accountant, treasury assistant and internal auditor. Marina was a key player in facilitating the conversion from IFAS to SAP accounting.
In 1997 Marina moved to North Carolina where she worked as a volunteer for the Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst in the finance department until she received her work permit from the INS.
In August of 1998 Marina jointed the Travel Resorts family as a bookkeeper. Very soon Marina was promoted to supervisor for the account receivable department. In 1999 Marina facilitated the conversion to MAS90 for all accounting aspects. At this time Marina took the place of the accounting manager.
In 2004, with the addition of Direct Sat TV, Marina was named as senior accounting manager with a staff of six employees.
Her current field of responsibility is financial reporting, including budget, cash flow monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements.
Outside of her professional interests, she enjoys traveling, reading, camping and living in North Carolina. Marina is a five time host parent for international exchange students from various countries.
An important aspect of her life is family, her husband, daughters, dog, and three cats.
